Done For You begins with the publishing intake. Guided Publishing is requested on its own page.
Do It Yourself · DIY Publishing Journey
The DIY Publishing Journey gives a first-time author a clear publishing path for one book. You stay in control and do the publishing work. We provide the path, the explanations and the guidance.

DIY Publishing Journey
$297
One book · Six months
One-time payment. No subscription. No automatic renewal.
Renewing that same book is $297 for another six months. A different book is its own journey.
What you get
Your journey gives you structure, plain-English explanations, the standard decisions to make at each stage, and a Publishing Director that already knows where your book is. What it does not include:
You do that work yourself, or hire providers you choose.
What the journey feels like
Every milestone explains the decision in front of you, why it matters and what most first-time authors choose — then saves your answer so the next step already knows your book.
Watch the 1:22 overviewWatch · 1 minute 22 seconds
A short guided walkthrough of the workspace one book actually moves through — your saved Book Publishing Profile, the milestone path, the Book Blueprint and your project-aware Publishing Director.
One system, four free stages
These tools are free to use, in the order most authors find them useful. The DIY Publishing Journey adds a saved project, persistent milestones and a Director that knows your book.
01
Publishing Starting Point
A guided set of questions about the project — manuscript stage, editing, production and setup — showing where your book stands and what comes next instead of a guess.
Open02
Self-Publishing Foundations
A free written course covering what happens between a finished manuscript and a published book, in the order it happens.
Open03
Publishing Director + Book Publishing Profile
Ask publishing questions in plain English. Answers can be related to what you have recorded about your book, and confirmed decisions are remembered in this browser.
Open04
Publishing Action Plan
Your recorded decisions and open items become a plan with a sensible next step, so you always know what to do next.
OpenAlways free
The Publishing Director answers publishing questions from Self Publish Me's guidance, and can relate the answer to what you have told it about your book. Confirmed decisions are remembered in this browser as your Book Publishing Profile, so it can show where the book stands and point to a sensible next move. It never writes or reviews manuscript content, and it does not take actions on your behalf.
The Publishing Director is free. The DIY Publishing Journey is the paid, persistent, book-specific path.
Good first questions
Honest limits
Plenty of authors publish well on their own. Some get part-way and decide they want a person involved. Either is a reasonable outcome, and nothing here changes if you stay on this path.
Done For You
The in-person publishing consultation is for authors exploring our Done For You service, where we handle the publishing work. For general publishing questions on this path, the Publishing Director is free and always available.
