1. Prepare and submit your materials

  1. 1Sign in with the account you used to buy, then open your setup page from the link in your purchase confirmation.
  2. 2Fill in your book details: title, subtitle, ISBN if you have one, description, trim size and page count.
  3. 3Upload your cover image. A full front-spine-back wrap allows full rotation; a front cover alone is presented as a dimensional book with page edges and limited rotation.
  4. 4If you want a reading sample, upload your interior PDF and choose how much of it visitors may read.
  5. 5Add your author name, short bio, purchase link, retailer links, website or social links and a public contact email if you want one.
  6. 6Use “Save and finish later” at any time — your progress stays on your account. When everything is in place, choose “Submit for review”.
  • Supported cover files: JPG, JPEG, PNG or WEBP up to 12 MB. Interior file: PDF up to 40 MB.
  • Your uploaded interior PDF is never published. Only the pages your reading permission allows are used to build the sample.

If something goes wrong

The upload is refused.
Check the file type and size against the limits above, then upload again.
“Submit for review” tells you something is still needed.
The message lists exactly which fields or files are missing. Add them and submit again.

2. Review, corrections and when your 90 days start

  1. 1After you submit, we review your materials and prepare your profile.
  2. 2We review and activate within five business days of receiving complete, usable materials.
  3. 3If something is missing or unusable, you will see exactly what to change on your setup page. Update it and submit again.
  4. 4Your 90 days of access begin when your profile is activated — not when you pay and not when you submit.
  • Submitting does not activate your profile, and editing an active profile does not send it back into review.

3. Sign in, edit your information and replace files

  1. 1Go to your management link and sign in with your purchasing account.
  2. 2Change any of your own details — title, subtitle, ISBN, description, author name, bio, links, contact email, cover settings, dimensions, page count or reading permission.
  3. 3Upload a new cover or interior file to replace the current one.
  4. 4Save your changes. You can make as many edits as you like while your access is active.
  • Only you can edit your profile. Activation dates, your public web address, and suspending or resuming a profile are handled by Self Publish Me.
  • A profile that has expired or been suspended cannot be edited.

If something goes wrong

Signing in sends you somewhere unexpected.
Use the same email address you used to purchase. After signing in you are returned to your own profile automatically.

4. Check the public result after an edit

  1. 1Open your public profile link in a new tab.
  2. 2If a change is not visible, reload the page once — your browser may still be showing the previous version.

6. Copy and share your public link

  1. 1On your public profile, use “Copy link”, then paste it into email, a text message, a social post or your email signature.
2. 2On a phone or tablet, “Share” opens your device’s own sharing options where available.
  3. 3Put the link in your social profile bios so anyone curious has somewhere to go.

If something goes wrong

The link does not work for a recipient.
It was probably cut off when pasted. Copy it again and check it ends with your profile name.
A social post shows no preview image.
Some networks cache previews for a while. Post again later, or share the link in a message instead.
The page behaves oddly inside another app.
In-app browsers can limit 3-D content. Open the link in Safari or Chrome instead, and check your connection.

7. Download, use and test your QR code

  1. 1On your public profile, choose “Download QR code”. A PNG image is saved to your device.
  2. 2Use it on bookmarks, business cards, flyers, event tables and the back of your book.
  3. 3Test it before printing: scan it with your own phone camera and confirm it opens your profile.
  • Print it large enough to scan — roughly one inch square or bigger — with clear space around it.

If something goes wrong

The code will not scan.
Increase the printed size, improve the lighting, avoid glossy glare, and keep the white border around the code.

8. What a visitor sees

  1. 1They land on your profile page and can rotate and explore your book in 3-D.
  2. 2If you shared a sample, they can open it and read the pages you allowed.
  3. 3They can follow your purchase and retailer links, and see your author information.
  • No account and no sign-in is needed to view your public profile.
  • Your profile is viewable while your access is active. After it ends, visitors see a short message instead of your book.

If something goes wrong

The sample is not available.
Either your reading permission is set to cover only, or no interior PDF has been uploaded yet.
A visitor sees an “unavailable” message.
Access has expired or the profile is suspended. Contact us if you believe this is wrong.

9. What the reading-permission settings mean

  1. 1Cover only — The default. No interior pages are shared.
  2. 2First 5 PDF pages — PDF page counts include front matter.
  3. 3First 10 PDF pages — PDF page counts include front matter.
  4. 4First 15 PDF pages — PDF page counts include front matter.
  5. 5Full book — Only if you explicitly choose it.
  • You can change this yourself at any time while your access is active.

10. What your figures do and do not measure

  1. 1Visits count arrivals on your public profile page.
  2. 2Sample opens count someone opening your reading sample.
  3. 3Purchase-link clicks count clicks on your retailer link — a click is not a sale.
  4. 4Copying your link is a copy, not a confirmed share. Opening a share dialog is not a confirmed post. Downloading your QR code is not a scan.
  • Where a visitor came from is often unknown, and unknown stays unknown. You never see another author’s figures.

11. Expiration

  1. 1Your setup page shows your activation and expiration dates once your profile is active.
  2. 2After 90 days your access ends. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically.
