How Guided Publishing works

You do the work. We review it at the major publishing milestones.

  2. 2You submit it at the appropriate publishing milestone.
  3. 3Self Publish Me reviews it and explains the findings, with one clarification round on those findings.
  4. 4You or your provider make the corrections.
  5. 5The final outcome is a production-ready handoff — the project is ready for submission.

Guided Publishing is a focused 90-day engagement. Uploading or submitting the book to Amazon KDP, another POD platform or a printer is a separate stage, outside this workspace unless separately contracted. Professional production work by Self Publish Me is also separate.

This workspace is the official project record. Brief updates may also come by text or email, and the Publishing Director answers general publishing questions between milestones.

What you need to do next

Confirm your trim size so the cover can be built to spec

Your manuscript is locked, so the next thing that moves the project forward is a trim size decision. Open Decisions, pick the size you want, and Self Publish Me will confirm it against print requirements before you (or your designer) build the cover.

For print you need one, and KDP can provide it free. Your eBook doesn't need an ISBN at all. If you want your own imprint name on the copyright page, you'd buy your own instead. Both routes are in your Decisions tab.
